Position: Lead Solution Architect (LSA)

The LSA plays a crucial role from implementation to go-live for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects. They collaborate with prospects and clients to review requirements, business processes, and existing solutions, recommending business process changes and technology solutions, including integrations and ISV solutions, for successful deployment. The LSA also assists with estimating timelines, budgets, and costs during presales.

During implementation, the LSA leads the functional team on solution design, ensuring best practices for D365 F&SCM configuration and development. They support multiple projects simultaneously, facilitate discussions, establish consensus, communicate effectively at a senior level, and represent Columbus as a team leader and business expert. The LSA interacts with users at all levels, including C-level executives, serving as a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings for discovery, planning, and envisioning solutions.
• Communicate solution vision clearly and effectively to Columbus consultants and clients.
• Coordinate with project managers on work breakdown and scheduling.
• Review configuration and design changes for consistency and conflict reduction.
• Produce documentation such as workflows, specifications, and presentations.
• Develop reusable artifacts to streamline implementation.
• Collaborate with Technical and Development Leads on solution designs.
• Understand features of common ISVs.
• Support pre-sales demonstrations, scoping, and project estimation.
• Stay updated on the latest D365 F&O features, including Microsoft Co-Pilot, AI, and D365 Agentification.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a functional lead role, including multiple full lifecycle implementations (minimum of 7) with Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 across industries.
• 8+ years of client-facing ERP consulting experience.
• Degree in Business, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing or mentoring teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and proceed without supervision.
• Effective collaboration with clients and internal teams, demonstrating leadership and emotional intelligence.
• Proficiency with Teams, MS Office, SharePoint, and DevOps.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel up to 50%.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certifications in MB-300, MB-310, MB-320, MB-330, and MB-700.
