Role Overview: Lead Solution Architect (LSA)

The LSA plays a crucial role from implementation to go-live for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects. They collaborate with D365 Enterprise prospects and clients to review requirements, business processes, and existing solutions. The LSA recommends specific business process changes and appropriate technology solutions, including integrations and ISV solutions, for successful project deployment. Additionally, they assist with estimating timelines, budgets, and costs during the presales process.

During implementations, the LSA serves as an active advisor, leading the functional team on solution design and ensuring best practices for D365 F&SCM configuration and development. They support multiple projects simultaneously, facilitate discussions, establish consensus, communicate effectively at a senior level, and represent Columbus as a team leader and business expert. The LSA interacts with clients at all levels, including C-level executives, acting as a trusted advisor.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client meetings for discovery, planning, and solution envisioning.
  • Communicate solution vision clearly and effectively to Columbus consultants and clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers on work breakdown and scheduling.
  • Review configuration and design changes to ensure consistency and minimize conflicts.
  • Create clear documentation, including workflows, specifications, and presentations.
  • Develop reusable artifacts to streamline implementation processes.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Development Leads on solution design.
  • Understand basic features of common ISVs.
  • Assist Pre-sales teams with demonstrations, scoping, and project estimation.
  • Stay updated on the latest D365 F&O features, including Microsoft Co-Pilot, AI, and D365 Agentification.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in a functional lead role, with previous D365 F&SCM implementation experience.
  • Completion of at least 7 full lifecycle implementations with Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 in a consulting role.
  • 8+ years of client-facing ERP consulting experience.
  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and achieve objectives.
  • Effective collaboration with clients and internal teams, demonstrating leadership and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency with Teams, MS Office, SharePoint, and DevOps.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel up to 50%.
Preferred Certifications
  • Microsoft Certifications: MB-300 Core F&O, MB-310 Finance, MB-320 SCM, MB-330 Supply Chain Management.
  • MB-700 F&O Apps Solution Architect.
