Job summary

PG&E is seeking a Principal Critical Facility Architect – Electrical Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of critical power infrastructure for IT and communications facilities.

The role covers electrical engineering design for data centers, communication rooms, and remote telecom sites, including primary power, backup generators, 48VDC plants, and facility alarm systems. A California Registered PE license is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical engineering design, IT infrastructure, or project delivery.
• Experience in enterprise technology environments and critical facility power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of electrical power systems and UPS/battery solutions.
• Develop power system architectures, standards, and design docs.
• Create budgets, scopes, and cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
