Job summary

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Principal Cost Analyst with our large power and utilities client in Lake Mary, FL. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.

This is a Principal level position on a Project Controls team, focusing on day-to-day analysis, data evaluation, and cost control across portfolios and programs. Strong Excel and PMO experience are required; sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university – business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of project controls experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree in project controls principles.
• Proficiency / Expertise with project management / project controls concepts / computer applications / analytics; strong collaborative team member.
• Ability to lead complex assignments
• Exceptional communication skills

Responsibilities

• This Principal level position provides day-to-day analysis and evaluation of data associated with portfolios, programs and projects.
• This role acts as a SME in project controls (cost, contract, WBS, schedule, resource) and leads complex cost-related work.
• This position leads development of reporting systems and analysis for complex project controls assignments.
• This worker will perform complex aspects of project forecasting, cost alignment to schedules, budgeting, and cost control with minimal supervision.
