Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Contracts Administrator in Linthicum, MD, on-site with a 9/80 schedule. You will lead contract administration for the AMS division, interfacing with program teams and customers on negotiations and changes.

The role requires a US citizen with a current active Secret clearance and a Bachelor's or Master’s in a related field, plus progressive contract experience. On-site work is expected with strong collaboration across teams.

  • 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree accepted.
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with the program team, including PM, Business Management, and Global Supply Chain, on contract administration and negotiation.
  • Manage assigned contracts per company policies, ensure obligations are understood, and maintain historical data.
  • Maintain contract data in the Enterprise Accounting System and ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Contracts Administrator based out of Linthicum, MD. This position is for on-site/in-office every day and offers a 9/80 schedule.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The Contracts Administrator will join a team supporting the Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Division.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Program team, including Program Management, Business Management, and Global Supply Chain. The Contracts Administrator will act as the primary interface with business partners and prime/USG customers contract administration, contract change management, and proposal preparation/negotiation.

The Contract Administrator will manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additionally, the Contract Administrator will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.

Associated responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and all other potential risk areas and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
  • Developing solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs under guidance from team lead and management.
  • Assisting management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.
  • Preparing written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.
  • Maintaining contract data into the Enterprise Accounting System.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of all contractual deliverables.

This individual must have the ability to meet high-performance expectations in a very dynamic environment. Excellent communication is a must as the selected candidate will be directly involved in negotiations with the customer as a strategic team member. Our team is looking for someone who wants to grow and get experience with both USG and prime customers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in contracts or related field (i.e. supply chain management, financial management, legal) - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of experience in contracts or related field (i.e. supply chain management, financial management, legal)
  • Will accept 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
  • Experience working with different contract types.
  • Experience analyzing regulatory changes and their impact on contracts/subcontracts.
  • US Citizenship Required.
  • A current/active US Government Secret Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense Industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Experience with USG and Prime customers.

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
