Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Contract Administrator in Linthicum, MD, onsite with a 9/80 schedule. You will manage contractual issues, coordinate with customers, and support negotiations and proposals to ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and company policies.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with related experience (or a Master’s with fewer years), U.S. Citizenship, and the ability to obtain Special Program Access and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience in contracts administration/management or a related field (i.e. legal); OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience as described above.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and Adobe.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; active Secret clearance already or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary interface with customer for contractual issues and monitor contract obligations.
  • Participate in contract proposal prep, negotiations, and contract administration for assigned programs.
  • Develop solutions to routine and complex contractual matters to ensure compliance.
  • Review terms to address risk areas and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure timely delivery of contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.

This is an onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.What You’ll get to Do:The Principal Contract Administrator will support the Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division, Advanced Mission Capabilities Business Unit, under the Restricted Operating Unit.Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Act as a primary interface with customer for contractual issues; Monitor contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.Participate in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Work under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes and maintain historical information.Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables (CDRLs/SDRLs) and submission of invoices.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience in contracts administration/management or a related field (i.e. legal); OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience as described above.Will consider 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.Experience working with MS Office Suite and AdobeExperience using FAR/DFARSU.S. Citizenship required.A current, active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance is required AND the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with US government customers.Experience working with proposal development and negotiationsExperience negotiating Terms & ConditionsExperience working with various contract types such as Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, etc.Experience with SAPWhat We Can Offer YouNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
