    A DAY IN THE LIFE

    As a key member of the Transactional Due Diligence team, the Principal Consultant will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

    • Lead teams conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, environmental compliance and risk management reviews, health & safety reviews and otherwise assisting clients in understanding the environmental risks and opportunities associated with buying and selling companies, land and individual assets.
    • Write technical documents and reports.
    • Manage full life cycle of applicable assigned projects.
    • Work within a team environment; meet deadlines within budget goals.
    • Provide clear and concise findings, recommendations and options regarding client deliverables.
    • Coordinate and manage due diligence products involving multi-site portfolios and teams in support of financial and industrial mergers, divestitures and acquisitions.
    • Interact with and support existing clients; identify potential for new business development.
    • Develop, track and document project expectations and budgets.
    • Manage up to 30% travel for client-support, project initiatives and team meetings.
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
    • Participate in Company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
    • Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

    To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering (or related) is required.
    • 10 years of experience in a related field is required.
    • Demonstrable experience in assessing a variety of property/industry types, as well as transaction types.
    • Working knowledge of applicable/related regulations.
    • Technical knowledge of the services provided in assigned area is preferred.
    • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Solid organization and time/project management skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to work independently manage multiple responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated).
    • Knowledge of computer aided software (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, etc.).
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors.
    • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
