Legal and Compliance Manager – Renewable Energy | Remote (U.S.)

Are you an experienced legal operations or corporate paralegal professional ready to play a pivotal role in the clean energy transition?

A high-growth, mission-driven renewable energy developer is seeking a Legal and Compliance Manager to support its expanding portfolio of utility-scale solar and storage projects. Backed by institutional capital and a multi-gigawatt pipeline, this company is building out the legal function as it scales—and this is a unique opportunity to join a small but influential legal team.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, you’ll lead legal operations across corporate governance, compliance, and transactional support. This is a hands-on role with high visibility across the organization—interfacing with finance, operations, HR, and executive leadership.

Key Areas of Focus:

• Corporate Governance – Manage board materials, entity formation and maintenance, and corporate recordkeeping
• Compliance – Support the implementation of policies, track regulatory filings, and formalize key internal processes
• Transactions – Assist with project financings, M&A, NDAs, data room management, and vendor contracts

What You'll Bring:

• 8+ years of corporate paralegal or legal ops experience in a private company, law firm, or financial institution
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
• Experience supporting complex transactions such as M&A, financings, or project development deals
• Familiarity with legal technology tools and a desire to build scalable systems from the ground up
• Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and business judgment
• Base salary up to $150K (depending on experience)
• Performance-based bonus (target 30%)
• Fully remote (U.S. based), flexible working environment
