Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Computer Hardware Engineer to join the F-35 Mission Systems team in Redondo Beach, CA. You will design, build and maintain hardware racks and workstations used by F-35 software developers for development and delivery tasks.

Responsibilities include configuring rack systems, integrating switches and firewalls, and producing network diagrams. Requires STEM degree with years of related experience and ability to obtain US Government

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with multiple years of related engineering experience.
Experience maintaining computer hardware racks and workstations for unclassified and classified environments.
Experience with network switches and firewalls and Linux administration.
Ability to obtain and maintain US Government clearance and SAP access.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain rack-mounted systems and workstations using available hardware.
Design and maintain professional racks, switches, firewalls, and peripherals for classified and unclassified environments.
Develop safe networking between enterprise and F35 developer networks and configure developer workstations.
Load, configure, and document rack systems per project requirements.
Produce network diagrams for the F35 developer environment.
