Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, F-35 Sustainment Operating Unit, seeks a Principal or Sr. Principal Field Engineer to join the Hill AFB, Utah team. You will serve as the technical interface to the customer, resolving issues on F-35 systems in a high-tempo environment.

The role requires a STEM degree, active security clearance, and the willingness to travel up to 50%. You will work as a key field engineer with extensive interaction with military personnel and civilian technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and related military aircraft maintenance experience.
• Active government security clearance and ability to deploy 50% travel.
• F-35 or F-22 aircraft operations and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for F-35 Vehicle and Mission Systems and on-site company rep.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, analyze problems, and propose solutions.
• Document maintenance activities and report status to program management.
• Provide training and briefings to customers, vendors, and staff.
• Coordinate on multiple engineering and logistic support tasks.
