Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior/Lead/Principal Software Engineer for the Foundations Team to own secure cloud infrastructure, drive performance, and shape the deployment pipelines across services. Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with backend systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Typescript, or Ruby.
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Containerization with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud services.
• Observability and monitoring using DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• SQL/PostgreSQL and data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build secure, fault-tolerant, highly available cloud infrastructure on public clouds.
• System performance optimization and bottleneck resolution for scalable services.
• Lead CI/CD evolution in a multi-service environment to reduce complexity.
• Manage infrastructure upgrades using infrastructure-as-code for faster delivery.
• Leverage observability tools to monitor health and set actionable alerts.
• Define/runbooks and architecture diagrams; enforce code quality through reviews.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across the team.
• Operate with startup-like agility within a large-scale enterprise.
