Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Foundations team—owning the infrastructure and platform that underpins the rest of the engineering organization.

You will hire, grow, and guide a high-performing team, driving reliability, scalability, and rapid delivery in a cloud-first environment. You will direct architectural strategy, manage on-call and release processes, and partner with product leadership to align platform roadmaps with business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience managing platform, infrastructure, or foundational engineering teams in high-growth environments.
• Deep technical fluency across cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and observability.
• Strong software engineering background with Go, Python, TypeScript, or Ruby.
• Experience operating SQL and PostgreSQL in production at scale.
• Proven track record of on-call programs and deployment/release management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Foundations team from 7 to 12+ engineers.
• Set high technical and cultural hiring bars and grow talent.
• Drive architectural direction for platform and infrastructure initiatives.
• Ensure reliability with on-call discipline and robust release management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align platform strategy with product goals.
