Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced Software Engineer for the Foundations team who will build highly scalable cloud infrastructure and core systems powering AI-enabled applications. You’ll own architecture decisions, accelerate deployment velocity, and raise quality through observability and rigorous reviews.

You will mentor peers, drive secure, fault-tolerant designs, and work across a fast-paced, startup-like environment backed by enterprise scale.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development with backend, cloud, and infra focus.
Proficiency in Go, Python, Typescript, or Ruby.

Responsibilities

Architect and build secure, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure on public clouds.
Continuously improve system performance and scale for highly-trafficked services.
Lead CI/CD evolution in a multi-service environment to reduce complexity and increase resilience.
Plan and execute infra upgrades using infrastructure-as-code for faster deployment and cost efficiency.
Leverage observability tools (DataDog, Sentry, etc.) to monitor health and reliability.
Define and maintain runbooks, procedures, and architecture diagrams; uphold rigorous testing and reviews.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across teams.
Embrace agility and fast delivery in a startup-like environment.
