Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Foundations team, owning the infrastructure and platform that every product team relies on. You will grow the team from 7 to 12 engineers and set high standards for delivery, reliability, and technical direction.

You'll drive architectural strategy, on-call discipline, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure scalable, resilient systems in an AI-powered environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD, and observability.
• Strong software engineering background with Go, Python, TypeScript, or Ruby.
• Experience operating SQL and RDBMS in production at scale (PostgreSQL preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Foundations team from 7 to 12 engineers and beyond, with high technical and cultural hiring standards.
• Maintain environment where engineers feel supported and challenged, with clear expectations and accountability.
• Drive delivery with quarterly goals, define timelines, and unblock the team as needed.
• Set architectural strategy for platform and infrastructure initiatives with focus on resiliency, scalability, and efficiency.
• Own on-call and incident response, improve platform reliability, and manage deployments and releases.
