Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Azure & GCP) to lead day‑to‑day cloud operations, security, and modernization across Azure with GCP support. This hands‑on, architecture‑driven role focuses on enterprise cloud platforms, governance, and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in infra/cloud, AZ-305/500 level experience, and a Bachelor’s degree. Expect a competitive compensation package and strong benefits, with Denver as a base.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure administration, engineering, networking, storage, security, and operations.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience managing cloud infrastructure in production environments.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, patching, provisioning, deprovisioning, and cloud operations.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of Azure governance, IAM, security controls, compliance, and FinOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture standards for secure, scalable, and highly available Azure & GCP solutions.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including hybrid and cloud-native architectures.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and establish enterprise architectural patterns and standards.
• Conduct architecture reviews and establish cloud standards and best practices.
• Establish cloud architecture governance, standards, and operating models across the organization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and influence strategic technology investment decisions.
• Lead architecture decisions impacting multiple business functions and global operations.
• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of cloud-native platforms and modernization practices.
