Job summary

Healthfirst is seeking a Principal Engineer, Infrastructure and Operations to drive cloud and operational excellence across public and private environments. You will lead enterprise solutions, mentor engineers, and shape governance, security, and automation standards while enabling continuous delivery.

The role requires deep expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP, IaC, CI/CD, and sophisticated automation, with a track record of reducing manual work and increasing reliability in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience designing, building, and managing Linux/Unix and Windows systems.
• Extensive cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• I&O Engineering experience including oversight of public and private cloud technologies.
• Proficient automation scripting (BASH, Python and/or PowerShell).
• Extensive IaC experience with automation and open‑source tools.
• Proven ability to identify repeatable processes and drive automation.

Responsibilities

• Support private/public cloud systems, OS, middleware, storage, databases and other infrastructure products.
• Provide informal coaching and direction to I&O team.
• Buildout CI/CD pipelines for Healthfirst applications.
• Onboard CI/CD Pipelines to development teams.
• Document and design DevOps processes; update SOPs.
• Lead automation efforts to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with Development teams to support cloud usage standards.
