Job summary

Healthfirst seeks a Principal Engineer, Infrastructure and Operations to drive cloud and operational excellence across public and private clouds, deploying automation and configuration management tools. This senior SME leads engineers, partners with development teams, and sets standards for cloud usage and security.

You will guide CI/CD builds, support on‑prem and cloud platforms, and mentor teams while shaping a Center of Excellence for cloud practices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and managing Linux/Unix-based and Windows systems.
• Extensive cloud experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
• I&O engineering with public/private cloud oversight
• Automation scripting with Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell
• Infrastructure as Code with automation and open-source tools
• Identify repeatable processes and drive automation across teams

Responsibilities

• Supports private/public cloud systems, OS, middleware, storage, DB platforms, and other infra products.
• Mentors I&O Engineering team through coaching and direction.
• Build out CI/CD pipelines for Healthfirst applications.
• Onboard CI/CD pipelines to development teams.
• Document and design DevOps processes; update SOPs.
• Serve as SME for complex issue resolution.
• Develop repeatable automation to improve efficiency.
• Implement private cloud Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure technologies.
• Lead within a Cloud Center of Excellence for standards.
• Maintain inventory of servers, storage, networks, software, and VMs.
• Ensure cloud usage governance and security standards.
