Job summary

CVS Health’s Consumer Experience and Analytics group within Data, Digital, Analytics, and Technology (DDAT) seeks a hands-on Principal Software Development Engineer to drive AI-powered innovation and scalable cloud-native solutions for members’ health journeys.

You will lead architectural initiatives across value streams, collaborate with product, engineering and platform teams, mentor engineers, and champion secure, privacy-conscious designs that scale for hundreds of millions of consumers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software industry with enterprise design experience.
• 7+ years leading architecture initiatives across multiple value streams.
• 7+ years with Java, Python, Node.js, Angular, ReactJS.
• 7+ years relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling.
• 5+ years cloud-native microservices on GCP.
• 5+ years designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• 4+ years managing customer-facing applications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on reference architecture and best-in-class user experiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, lead POC efforts, and accelerate innovation.
• Deliver well-engineered, scalable, reliable solutions on schedule.
• Author technical documentation and architectural guidelines.
• Mentor architects and engineers, promoting excellence and learning.
• Define non-functional requirements: performance, security, observability.
