Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer – AI/ML to design, code, and operate AI-enabled cloud capabilities. You will own production deployments across account vending, landing zones, and CaaS, working with Enterprise AI, Information Security, and Architecture to apply enterprise standards.

The role emphasizes hands‑on development and production ownership, with a focus on reliability, cost optimization, and accelerated application transformation. Hybrid in-office work is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 8 years of architecture/design experience in relevant technology disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Deploy AI-enabled capabilities for cloud engineering products with hands-on work in code, IaC, APIs, CI/CD, and production environments.
• Develop agents and reusable skills for cloud customer journeys and landing-zone configuration.
• Build MCP servers, adapters, and services exposing cloud APIs, automation, telemetry, and cost data.
• Automate intake, prerequisite checks, guardrail validation, and deployment guidance to reduce time to first production deployment.
• Advance CaaS offerings with self-service and AI-assisted capabilities for workload onboarding, deployment, policy compliance, observability, and remediation.
