Elevance Health seeks an Engineer II to join our Hybrid workforce in the Virginia area. This role supports end-to-end application and system development on medium complexity platforms, with a 3-day-in-office requirement. You will partner with stakeholders, analyze change requests, and contribute to design and testing efforts.

The position emphasizes scalable code, collaboration across IT teams, and on-call support. A BA/BS in IT or CS and 1+ year experience on a platform are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 1 year experience on one platform or equivalent background.
• Hands-on experience with AI, data, streaming is preferred.
• Cloud platforms including AWS, Google, Azure and others are desirable.

Responsabilités

• Writes correct and clean code with limited guidance following best practices.
• Partners with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Analyzes semi-complex change requests and documents possible system enhancements.
• Develops application scope and prepares functional/technical specifications.
• Collaborates with designers and web team to apply marketing-focused content.
• Codes semi-complex components of information systems and maintains them.
• Performs system testing and fixes defects, re-executes unit tests.
• Provides on-call support and monitors semi-complex issues as needed.
• Participates in design sessions and vendor evaluation.
