NVIDIA's GeForce Now, the next-generation gaming service powered by NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud, transforms a Mac, any PC or just a mobile device into a high-performance gaming rig. GeForce NOW automatically keeps games up-to-date and users around the globe can instantly stream the latest games in high-definition resolution at the lowest latency for the smoothest gameplay.

We are currently seeking a Principal Systems Software Engineer to join our team, comprised of exceptionally skilled and motivated engineers. Together, we develop the GeForceNow client for a diverse array of devices and operating systems, as well as few other user-facing applications. What you will be doing
  • Work on custom CEF and Chromium code for NVIDIA products with focus on performance, reliability, cross‑platform compatibility, and security
  • Define and upstream parts of that work to share it with the rest of the community, when applicable
  • Maintain and improve related CI/CD and patching infrastructure, and improve it to take the latest changes from upstream more quickly
  • Define, review, and improve quality, reliability, and performance indicators for the applications
  • Review code and designs across the team and contribute actively to the evolving team methodologies
What we need to see
  • 15+ years experience proficient in C++, JavaScript, web technologies
  • Excellent system software programming, unit testing, and debugging skills
  • Expertise in video and graphics composition, accessibility, and system abstraction layers in Chromium repos
  • Consistent history of change and feature contributions to CEF or Chromium repositories in relevant areas, Chromium committer status
  • Strong initiative, be proactive, and be ready to tackle open‑ended problems
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related areas, or equivalent experience
Ways to stand out from the crowd
  • Experience in porting and/or optimizing forks of Chromium, CEF, or Electron
  • Background with developing and supporting live consumer products/services on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS
  • Expertise in developing real‑time, latency‑sensitive, interactive video streaming applications or with 3D APIs like Vulkan or Metal
  • Familiarity with telemetry and visualization tools, experience in employing data to analyze and improve product reliability and performance
