Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer for GeForce NOW to design, build, and deploy scalable cloud-based systems and APIs that power high-performance SaaS/PaaS services. You will influence architecture, drive automation, and mentor engineers to raise the bar on reliability and efficiency.

You will work across teams to deliver features, optimize performance, and ensure observability in a distributed environment, leveraging Java, Golang, and Python in a Kubernetes/ECS/OpenStack stack.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent program from an accredited University/College.
• Minimum 12+ years of hands-on industry experience delivering SaaS/PaaS.
• Proven experience in developing and scaling RESTful, gRPC, MCP APIs and backend services.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and distributed system design (high reliability, fault tolerance, scalability, observability).
• Demonstrated skills in Java, Golang, and Python.
• Experience with Spring Boot/Java-based microservices architecture and Golang Kubernetes operators.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, OpenStack).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra) and caching solutions (Redis).
• Deep understanding and experience in writing testable, maintainable, and performant codebases.

We are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer who sees the big picture of Cloud Computing and is deeply technical, creative, and hands‑on. You will design, build, and deploy highly scalable cloud-based solutions for GeForce NOW. You will require a deep understanding of programming languages, distributed systems, multi-threading, and most importantly, cloud services. Your work will craft scalable and efficient cloud services to drive Visual Computing, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

What we need to see:

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD.
