Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Principal, Building Envelope in New York to provide executive leadership within the New Construction practice. You will oversee high-profile building enclosure projects, mentor staff, and drive growth through strategic initiatives and client relationships.

In this role you will lead multidisciplinary teams on complex projects, ensure technical excellence, and shape the direction of SOCOTEC’s Building Envelope practice while aligning with industry standards and innovative

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in building envelope consulting, design, or related field.
• Professional licensure such as PE or RA required.
• Deep knowledge of building codes, ASTM, AAMA, NFRC and industry standards.
• Proven track record leading complex consulting projects and developing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and growth initiatives for the Building Envelope practice.
• Develop executive-level client relationships with architects, developers, owners, and partners.
• Drive proposals, presentations, and negotiations for complex projects.
• Oversee technical quality, reports, and project deliverables.
• Mentor staff and shape business strategy and innovation in the NY market.
