Zillow Group seeks a Principal Software Development Engineer to lead end-to-end delivery and ongoing support of projects for the Mexico team working with US tech teams. You will design new features, review peers’ code, advocate best practices, mentor junior engineers, and drive inclusive, multi-functional engineering discussions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, NodeJS, and Go for APIs and services.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Authorized to work in Mexico.
• Skilled with modern development technologies for front-end and back-end systems.
• Recognized as a technical leader with impact beyond the team.
• Passionate about standard methodologies, testing, and maintainability.
• Values candidates with non-traditional backgrounds and transferable skills.
