Job summary

Noetica is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Full Stack, to design and build scalable backend services and APIs that power our document analysis platform. The role is backend-leaning, with opportunities to touch frontend as needed and to collaborate with AI/ML PhDs, legal SMEs, and market strategists.

You will work on RESTful APIs, data processing pipelines, and service architecture decisions, with a focus on performance, scalability, and developer experience, including CI/CD improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 10–12 years of professional full‑stack development with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go and API design.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, databases, and data modeling.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for our document analysis platform.
• Write high‑performance server‑side code and data processing pipelines.
• Define clear API contracts and contribute to service architecture decisions.
• Design compositional API primitives to accelerate production of insights.
• Build and maintain integrations with third‑party services and ML systems.
• Contribute to frontend features when needed and optimize data‑intensive operations.
• Improve CI/CD and production ops for better developer experience.
• Own engineering excellence and scalable design patterns.
