Job summary

Noetica is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, AI to design and build scalable back-end services and APIs powering a document analysis platform. You will work on server-side code, data pipelines, and API contracts while collaborating with AI/ML researchers to shape the product.

You will influence service architecture, contribute to frontend features as needed, optimize data-intensive workloads, and drive CI/CD improvements to ensure reliable, fast delivery.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of professional full‑stack development with strong backend focus.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go and API design.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, database design, and data modeling.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and hyperscalers (AWS, GCP).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend work.
• Foundations in distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-starting problem-solving approach biased toward action.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs powering our document analysis platform.
• Write maintainable, high-performance server-side code and data processing pipelines.
• Define clear API contracts and contribute to service architecture decisions.
• Craft compositional API primitives to productionize evolving document insights.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party services and internal ML systems.
• Contribute to frontend features as needed to deliver features end-to-end.
• Optimize backend performance for data-intensive operations.
• Champion engineering excellence and scalable design patterns.
• Improve/automate CI/CD and day-to-day production operations.
