Job summary
BMO U.S. is seeking a Principal Azure Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure Azure infrastructure and platform services at scale within our cloud ecosystem.
You will collaborate with cloud, data, and security teams in agile pods to evolve Azure platform capabilities, reusable deployment patterns, and foundational services, driving operational excellence across the enterprise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of cloud engineering, platform engineering leadership, or infrastructure experience.
- Experience delivering and operating Azure environments in large-scale or regulated settings.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Azure cloud infrastructure and shared platform services.
- Implement and maintain Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identity, and governance.
- Build Azure PaaS, containers, and managed services as reusable platform capabilities.
- Ensure platforms meet scalability, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Apply DevOps and SRE practices including CI/CD, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Build and operate foundational platform services and tooling for engineering teams.
