Job summary

Amazon Books is seeking a Sr. Author Experience Manager to lead high-value author and publisher relationships, shaping how KDP engages and supports them.

You will drive initiatives from ideation to launch, removing friction and scaling the author experience in a fast-paced environment. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, leveraging data insights to prioritize opportunities and influence senior stakeholders across Product, GTM, and Marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to solve ambiguous or undefined challenges with strong problem solving.
• Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders.
• Experience in data analysis, with ability to interpret and derive insights from data.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior account support to authors and publishers.
• Represent the business externally at in-person author events.
• Identify and drive timely resolution of complex author-impacting issues by escalating to partner teams.
• Use customer insights to advocate for the optimal experience for authors.
• Improve how KDP represents and prioritizes author needs with narratives to influence partners.
• Partner with Product and GTM to develop launch strategies for author initiatives.
• Support author marketing efforts including social media, events, launch content, and demand for titles.
• Provide clear external and internal communications to accounts and stakeholders.
• Create, streamline, and deprecate processes for scalable operations.
• Mentor and develop team members and participate in hiring.
