Vytalize Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to design, build, and operate its CDS Hooks and API-driven data platform. You will own CDS Hooks, REST APIs, and patterns for reliable, real-time clinical data access. Collaborate with EMR partners and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions that fit clinician workflows.

You will lead reliability, latency, and data freshness initiatives, mentor peers, and shape platform standards and OpenAPI documentation for external partners.

Qualificações

• 8+ years designing, building, and operating API platforms at scale.
• Senior or staff-level contributor owning complex systems end-to-end.
• 3+ years healthcare data integrations, EMR workflows, or interoperability standards.
• 2+ years with CDS Hooks, SMART on FHIR, or clinical decision support APIs.
• Strong REST API design, versioning, error handling, and auth patterns.
• Understanding of healthcare data integrations and interoperability patterns.
• Ability to define reliability metrics, SLAs, and clinical impact metrics.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and implementation of the CDS Hooks platform and API contracts.
• Integrate CDS Hooks with multiple EMR systems and downstream services.
• Design and maintain REST and event-driven APIs exposing clinical data.
• Establish API versioning, deprecation, security, and audit patterns.
• Define and measure API performance metrics and SLA alignment.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, analytics, and clinical ops.
