Job summary

Ford Pro Intelligence Telematics is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to shape the technical vision and build web applications and services for our customers. You will lead data-intensive SaaS platforms, APIs, and frontends that enable fleet insights across web, mobile, and API surfaces.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, Design, and Business leadership, and drive architectural roadmaps across multiple teams to deliver scalable, reliable software in a high-scale cloud

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in technical leadership roles.
• 5+ years designing and building scalable data-intensive web apps and SaaS products.
• 5+ years API development in Java/Kotlin and frontend frameworks (React/AngularJS).
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions in Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale SaaS apps.
• Lead and mentor junior and mid-level engineers to raise engineering standards.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Business to translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Scope, estimate, and blueprint complex enterprise initiatives.
• Lead hands-on development of core components and deployment practices.
• Elevate internal tooling, patterns, and processes for efficiency and reliability.
• Manage incident response and root-cause analysis for critical systems.
