Our engagements aim to eliminate obstacles, reduce risk, and accelerate timelines for customers transitioning to Google and seeking assistance with data and application modernization. We embed within customer teams to provide strategic guidance, facilitate technology decisions, and execute projects in a collaborative, co-development style.

We are looking for a Principal Architect, Data Solutions. This role offers an opportunity to showcase thought leadership, engineering skills, and experience with data systems and Google Cloud.

At Zencore, a Principal Architect is a key technical leader in our engineering organization and acts as the external face of our technical expertise. Principal architects are able to navigate a broad technical range but are specialized in one or more domains. They are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects within our professional services business.

Responsibilities

1. Work with clients to understand their requirements and technical challenges, develop solutions using cloud technology, and evangelize the value of these solutions.
2. Develop estimates for skills and timelines required for Zencore projects and create clear proposals.
3. Lead the technical aspects of project teams, ensuring technical delivery stays on track and resolving issues promptly. Be comfortable with both architecture and hands-on execution.
4. Mentor within the engineering organization, demonstrating expertise in your technical domain and enabling others to upskill.

Desired Skillset

1. Ability to understand business problems and translate them into technology visions and solutions.
2. Comfortable navigating between big picture and detailed thinking.
3. Experience with large-scale business and technology change, including stakeholder management.
4. Experience with data engineering tools such as DBT, Airflow, NiFi, Spark, etc.
5. Proficiency in software development best practices.
6. Experience in high-quality software development, preferably in Python or Java.
7. Strong analytical and communication skills.
8. Google Cloud experience preferred.
