Base pay range

$160,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

100% Remote from USA

Compensation: $160K–$170K + Bonus Potential

Full-Time | 40+ Hours/Week

About the Role:

We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Principal Architect to lead modernization efforts across enterprise software platforms. In this role, you'll shape architecture standards and design patterns while remaining 40% hands-on with code. You'll collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, and Engineering to modernize legacy systems, implement Azure-native solutions, and reduce technical debt.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture strategy and modernization efforts, including Azure cloud migration and API/containerization initiatives.
• Guide teams in Angular-to-CDN migrations, API management via Azure, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Influence engineering standards across Dev, Product, DevOps, and Data teams.
• Translate complex architectural concepts for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers while maintaining IC responsibilities.
• Tackle high-impact projects related to scalability, security, and performance.

Must-Have Skills:

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development in Azure.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, unit testing frameworks, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• 10+ years in software engineering, 8+ years in software architecture, and 5+ years in a leadership or technical SME role.

You'll be the architectural thought leader driving modernization at scale. This is a highly collaborative environment where your vision influences cross-functional teams—Dev, Product, DevOps, and Data Engineering. Full executive visibility, high-impact initiatives, and real ownership.
