Job summary

iHerb is seeking a Principal Engineer - Catalog to oversee the technical strategy for their product catalog platform. The role involves leading modernization efforts, defining architecture, and mentoring engineers to uphold high technical standards.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, strong backend skills preferably in C#/.NET, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, significant experience at senior or principal IC level.
• Experience working in distributed teams across the US, China, and Latin America.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the catalog platform architecture including service design and data modeling.
• Lead the technical scoping and execution of the catalog modernization effort.
• Contribute catalog-specific patterns and lessons to iHerb's shared AI-driven SDLC golden path.
• Mentor and raise the technical bar across the engineering organization through direct coaching.
