Job summary

iHerb is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer II – Catalog to build and modernize our product catalog, spanning backend services, React frontend, and relational data layers.

The role covers end-to-end feature delivery, design of APIs, and collaboration with product/design to refine requirements. You will work with AI-assisted development tools, own features through deployment and on-call, and help modernize the stack alongside the existing platform.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping production code with AI-assisted development tools.
• Full-stack awareness across backend and frontend layers.
• Ownership of features end-to-end from spec to deployment and observability.
• Strong knowledge of software design, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience with C#/.NET, Go, Python, or Java; React is a plus; relational DBs like SQL Server or Postgres.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship catalog features end-to-end: API design, business logic, data models, and React UI.
• Use AI-driven SDLC tooling for code generation, specs, and tests.
• Contribute to catalog modernization while parallelizing with existing platform.
• Write and maintain automated tests; ensure quality is built in.
• Review PRs, maintain code standards, and improve golden path.
• Collaborate with product/design to refine specs; instrument services with logs and metrics.
