Job summary

iHerb is seeking a Principal Engineer – Mobile to own the end‑to‑end architecture for our iOS and Android platforms. You will lead the mobile modernization effort, set engineering standards, and act as a hands‑on contributor delivering production code and proofs of concept.

You will collaborate with peers, managers, and VPs to shape platform strategy, drive cross‑team decisions, and mentor senior engineers while maintaining high quality and velocity across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with senior/principal IC level.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Experience leading mobile platform modernization or significant re-architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the mobile platform architecture for iOS and Android.
• Lead the mobile modernization effort across multiple teams.
• Write production mobile code, build proofs of concept, and validate architecture.
• Set technical standards, oversee code reviews and architecture reviews.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the Mobile team.
• Collaborate with product, data science, security, and infrastructure.
