Description
Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Principal Architect for its Johnston, RI location.
Duties
- The Principal Architect will provide architectural mentorship and oversight at a Company Platform level, including its supporting Technical Platform.
- Works cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, including business development, product management, software engineering, cybersecurity, and departmental executives to drive results.
- Responsible for delivering roadmaps and strategic directions for business units.
- Contributes to and reviews RFPs and Options Analysis, focusing on strategic planning and architecture roadmaps.
- Presents designs and ideas to an Architecture Review Board (ARB) and senior management.
- Identifies and prescribes product standards, deployment patterns, and reference architectures.
- Contributes to Solution Approach and Solution Design deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, followed by at least 7 years of experience in a related role.
- Experience with application solution design and high-level architecture using tools like Enterprise Sparx and Microsoft Visio.
- Developing cloud-native applications on AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS SQL Server, Redis Cache).
- Implementing security standards (OWASP, OAuth 2.0, SAML, JWT, Kerberos, Spring Security, ISAM).
- Utilizing messaging technologies (JMS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).
- Architecting cloud-native applications with Domain Driven Design, Microservice patterns, and 12-factor app methodology.
- Building Event Driven Systems with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Using Spring technologies (Core, AOP, DAO, Boot, Security) for enterprise applications.
- Developing microservices and RESTful APIs with Java, J2EE, Python, employing tools like Swagger, Netflix Zuul, Hystrix.
