Job summary

Strategic HR Outsourcing Solutions is seeking a Principal Application Engineer in Irvine to lead a small application engineering team and drive advanced packaging projects within the Adhesive Technologies unit. You will interface with top clients, guide KPI-driven decisions, and align technical work with sales and marketing goals.

Offering relocation assistance for ideal candidates, this role emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and leadership in 2.5D/3D packaging trends, with travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of relevant experience.
• 12 years in semiconductor packaging or processes with people manager experience.
• Solid understanding of current and emerging packaging trends, including 2.5D and 3D packaging.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead technical discussions with customers.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused, ownership-driven mindset.
• Effective project and time management skills, with a consistent focus on quality and delivery.
• Ability to take meetings during off-hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a small (2-4) Application Engineering team to achieve project deliverables to achieve project deliverables

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

COMPENSATION

Base Salary - USD $140,000 to $165,000
