Western Alliance Bank seeks a Principal Analyst I to lead API governance, data quality, and reporting initiatives. You’ll own governance processes, track KPIs and KRIs, and drive remediation across the API lifecycle while coordinating with multiple business units.

The role emphasizes enterprise governance, cross-functional collaboration, and analytic excellence to improve inventory accuracy and operational maturity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Advanced to expert in process and data analysis within one or two domains or functional areas with deep critical thinking skills.
• Experience working as a SME across one or two domains or functional areas.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and governance activities supporting the Enterprise API Governance Program.
• Develop governance KPIs, KRIs, and operational metrics.
• Analyze API inventory, metadata, and ownership across platforms and resolve discrepancies.
• Drive remediation activities and governance reporting to leadership.
