Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Principal Analyst I - Generative AI Analyst to drive the AI Governance program, coordinating policy, standards, and controls across the bank.

You will partner with program leadership, risk committees, business stakeholders, and Enterprise Architecture Governance to maintain documentation, track KPIs/KRIs, and prepare executive narratives. The role emphasizes clear communication, audits readiness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related governance or risk experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, IS, IT, CS, risk, or finance.
• Proven track record delivering KPI/KRI driven program progress.
• Experience authoring and maintaining policies, standards, procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with executive presence.
• Familiarity with GRC and AI governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate governance activities and stakeholder care.
• Maintain and version the AI policy, principles, standards, processes, and procedures.
• Manage governance records, including meeting minutes, decision logs, issues, and program metrics.
• Develop monthly status reports and KPI/KRI dashboards for AI Council and executives.
• Analyze governance metrics and produce clear visualizations of program progress.
• Facilitate AI governance working-group sessions and drive follow-up items to closure.
• Organize governance content in SharePoint and Confluence so artifacts are easy to find.
• Support internal audits, external examinations, and regulatory reviews with accurate documentation.
