Job summary

Western Alliance Bank is seeking a Principal Analyst I to lead API Governance, Data Quality, and Governance Reporting in the Columbus area. You will own API inventory accuracy, KPI/KRI management, and remediation of governance findings across enterprise platforms.

You will partner with API Engineering, Architecture, Security, Risk, and Platform teams to drive improvements, develop artifacts, and ensure governance practices align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory obligations, rules and industry standards.
• Advanced to expert in process and data analysis.
• Experience as SME across one or two domains.
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
• Occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and governance activities supporting the Enterprise API Governance Program, ensuring alignment with objectives and risk requirements.
• Analyze and reconcile API inventory, metadata, and ownership across enterprise platforms and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and communicate governance KPIs, KRIs, and operational metrics with dashboards and scorecards.
• Perform root-cause analysis of governance and data-quality issues and recommend improvements.
• Execute governance processes across the API lifecycle including onboarding and reviews.
• Collaborate with API Engineering, Architecture, Security, Risk, Platform Engineering, and leadership to resolve findings.
• Develop governance procedures, documents, and audit evidence.
• Drive remediation tracking and communicate enhancements using data and metrics.
• Present governance insights and recommendations to leadership.
