Job summary
Acro Service Corp. is seeking a Principal Airworthiness Engineer to join our team at Spectrum Center, Kearney Mesa, CA onsite. The role focuses on ensuring airworthiness objectives are translated into system solutions across the product lifecycle, including flight releases and type certifications.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in airworthiness planning, certification processes, and experience with UAS/RPAS. A DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with required experience.
- Familiarity with MIL-HDBK-516D.
- Experience developing airworthiness plans and Basis of Certification.
- Experience with UAS/RPAS airworthiness authorizations and type certifications.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Performs airworthiness planning and verification support including development of airworthiness plans and bases of certification.
- Reviews with other airworthiness engineers and internal disciplines across the total system.
- Translates customer requirements into criteria and derived requirements for airworthiness.
- Manages Type Design Data and airworthiness evidence for certification programs.
