Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking a Senior Aircraft Performance Engineer in Savannah to lead performance analyses for takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, and mission profiles. You will work with cross-functional teams across Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Flight Test, Certification, Avionics, and Customer Support to develop and validate performance databases and documentation.

Responsibilities include supporting certification strategies with FAA/EASA and regulators, mentoring less-experienced

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field (required).
Demonstrated experience in aircraft performance, flight sciences, aerodynamics, propulsion, or related discipline.
Strong understanding of fixed-wing aerodynamics, propulsion, and flight characteristics.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform complex aircraft performance analyses for all flight phases.
Apply first-principles methods to evaluate performance for new aircraft development and in-service fleet.
Analyze flight test data to support performance databases and certification.
Prepare performance data for AFM, OM, and other operational docs.
Develop and review performance databases used by avionics and software.
