Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah is seeking a Senior Aircraft Performance Engineer to lead analyses of takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, and mission performance for Gulfstream aircraft. You will work with Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Flight Test, Certification, Avionics, and Customer Support teams, guiding data reduction, certification strategies, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Experience in aircraft performance, flight sciences, aerodynamics, propulsion or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of fixed-wing aerodynamics, propulsion, performance and flight characteristics.
• Ability to apply first-principles engineering methods and resolve complex problems.
• Experience supporting transport-category airplane certification under 14 CFR Part 25 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform complex aircraft performance analyses for all flight phases.
• Apply first-principles methods and tools to evaluate performance for development, derivatives, and in-service fleets.
• Analyze, correlate, and expand flight test data for performance databases.
• Prepare and maintain performance data for AFM, OM, and other docs.
• Develop certification plans, compliance docs, and reports for FAA, EASA, and others.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and provide technical leadership.
