Job summary

Unity Technologies is seeking a Principal Engineer in the Technical Fellow Office to design and ship agentic AI platforms at scale in a hybrid setup across Remote and New York, US. You will influence architecture, code quality, and engineering best practices for AI-driven systems.

You will lead production-ready AI features, establish safety and guardrails, and mentor teams across the organization to realize ambitious AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on engineering in software development, system design, or architecture.
• Applied AI / agentic engineering experience with modern LLMs, tool use, and evaluation.
• Production AI systems with monitoring, guardrails, and scalability in distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect & build agentic pipelines, orchestration platforms, and surrounding services.
• Productionize LLM-powered workflows with multi-agent orchestration and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Define quality through evaluation harnesses, benchmarks, and automated gates.
