Job summary
ServiceNow is seeking a Principal Engineer, Agentic AI Systems to lead architecture for enterprise-scale AI governance, agent orchestration, and secure, observable AI platforms. You will drive cross‑domain decisions and mentor senior engineers while shaping the future of AI-enabled tooling.
You will define a scalable developer experience and guardrails, ensuring reliability and security across planning, coding, testing, deployment, and operations in ServiceNow's AI initiatives.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with senior scope
- Hands-on expertise in agentic AI and large language models
- Experience architecting enterprise-scale cloud and developer platforms
- Proven track record transforming engineering organizations
- Strong cross-domain judgment and executive communication
Responsibilities
- Define multi-year architecture for AI Control Tower and agent governance
- Establish AI-forward developer experience with guardrails
- Define reliability, incident response, auditability standards
- Coordinate across AI engineering, data/ML, infrastructure, product, and security
- Transform Customer Zero experience into structured product feedback
- Prototype multi-agent patterns and publish reference architectures
- Mentor senior engineers and raise hiring standards
