Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Principal AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents within the AI/Digital Center of Excellence. You will partner with business leaders to frame problems and deliver AI-driven solutions that measurably improve speed, cost, quality, or cycle time.

This hands-on role requires Python and agent framework expertise, experience with enterprise AI platforms, and a consultative mindset.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, CS, information systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years delivering production software, automation, or process engineering solutions.
• 1+ year hands-on experience building with LLM APIs and/or agent frameworks (shipping preferred).
• Experience in consulting-style roles with executive communication and influence.
• Ability to translate ambiguous workflows into scalable enterprise solutions.
• Strong communication bridging business needs and technical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Re-imagine enterprise work with an AI-first mindset and identify high-value workflows.
• Translate workflows into agent-ready steps: reasoning, execution, validation, escalation, human-in-the-loop.
• Consultative problem framing and value prioritization with business leaders.
• Build AI agents using Python and modern frameworks to perform end-to-end tasks.
• Integrate with enterprise systems, APIs, and data sources.
• Deploy securely to production with enterprise security, access controls, and monitoring.
• Maintain production quality with guardrails, observability, and fallback mechanisms.
• Operate in Agile delivery cycles with IT, data, security, and platform teams.
