SCAN Health Insurance in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Principal AI Security Engineer to architect and safeguard our AI ecosystem under the Director of Cybersecurity. You will own end‑to‑end security for the Azure AI stack, ensuring innovation never compromises integrity.

This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role focused on configuring Azure OpenAI Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search, implementing MCP and guardrails, and partnering with SOC for observability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Cybersecurity with 3+ years focused on AI/ML security.
• Proven Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Azure Foundry security experience.
• Deep understanding of LLM vulnerabilities (prompt injection, data handling).
• Data security for AI workflows including vector databases and masking.
• Governance frameworks and regulatory knowledge (EU AI Act).

Responsibilities

• Design secure‑by‑design AI architectures across data ingestion, training, tuning, and inference.
• Lead security configuration for Azure OpenAI Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure AI Search.
• Develop and deploy security controls: prompt injection mitigations, rate limiting, content filtering.
• Secure MCP implementations for safe AI data flows between models and sources.
