Job summary

AMD’s Data Center Platform Engineering Group seeks a Principal Member of Technical Staff to own system design support and rack-level bring-up for Instinct platforms. You will serve as a technical bridge among internal architects, platform teams, and OEM partners, leading hands-on debug at customer sites.

You will influence design decisions, drive root-cause analysis, and mentor senior engineers while shaping future AMD AI hardware and software roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience in system architecture, hardware/firmware debug, and customer-facing engineering roles.
• Deep understanding of Server/Rack system architecture (x86, GPU, PCIe, Interconnects).
• Strong proficiency in System Firmware (BIOS/UEFI, BMC/OpenBMC) debugging and deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Own system design support and rack-level bring-up for AMD Instinct platforms.
• Lead hands-on debug and validation at customer locations and drive root cause analysis.
• Provide design reviews and document best practices with reference architectures.
