Job summary

AMD is seeking a Principal Member of Technical Staff Infrastructure Lead to spearhead the data center infrastructure behind flagship GPU platforms. The role blends hands-on technical leadership with cross-team collaboration across networking, storage, and compute virtualization to improve reliability and scalability.

You will guide incident response, pursue root-cause analysis, and mentor engineers while driving platform enablement for new AMD data center deployments.

Qualifications

• Proactive, hands-on technical leader capable of solving cross-domain infrastructure issues.
• Ownership, sound technical judgment, and incident response experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with engineering teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure incidents spanning data center networking, storage, and compute virtualization.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis using monitoring, logs, packet captures, and performance data.
• Partner with architecture, platform, security, and engineering teams to implement reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Support the deployment and enablement of new AMD data center GPU platforms, including surrounding network, storage, compute, and virtualization infrastructure.
• Design, review, and implement infrastructure solutions for new data center builds, site expansions, migrations, and hardware refreshes.
• Establish effective infrastructure monitoring, alerting, documentation, and operational runbooks.
