Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Product Manager to shape AI-powered learning experiences, intersecting product strategy, learning design, data, and user experience.

You will lead discovery, definition, delivery, launch, and optimization for AI-enabled features such as tutoring, personalized practice, and study recommendations. This hands-on role collaborates with engineering, data science, content, and legal teams to build trusted, responsible AI products.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of product management experience for digital, software, SaaS, consumer, education, or platform products.
• Hands-on experience shipping products from discovery through launch and post-launch optimization.
• Experience using generative AI tools in product work (research synthesis, prototyping, analysis, requirements, experimentation, workflow automation).
• Understanding of LLM-based products: prompts, model behavior, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, hallucination risk, human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Strong product judgment balancing user value, business value, feasibility, usability, safety, and operational constraints.
• Strong analytical skills with data, experiments, user research, and qualitative feedback to inform decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication translating between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work with engineering, design, data, QA, content, learning science, legal, privacy, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the roadmap and success metrics for AI-powered learning experiences within Pearson’s digital ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities where AI can improve outcomes, engagement, personalization, and product quality through research, data analysis, and experimentation.
• Contribute to end-to-end delivery of AI-enabled features from discovery to launch and optimization.
• Translate learner, business, and technical needs into clear product requirements and user stories.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, learning science, content, QA, and AI platform teams to deliver AI-powered experiences.
• Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, research synthesis, prototyping, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Define and evaluate AI-powered learning experiences, including prompts, workflows, quality standards, and student trust considerations.
• Monitor product performance using analytics and experiments to drive improvement.
• Ensure AI features align with Pearson privacy, security, accessibility, academic integrity, and responsible AI.
